Have you ever seen these little devices called uv sanitizers before? I never did till recently. In case you’ve never hard of them, here is the story.
I was over at a friend’s house. We were supposed to be getting ready to go out. She said she had to finish up some cleaning first and asked if I would mind waiting. I didn’t mind at all. So I’m sitting at the dining room table and she is in the next room and we’re chatting. She brings out a basket of laundry and I thought nothing of it, at first.

If you are using a wood burning stove or thinking of investing in one, you need to pay attention to a substance known as creosote. Hardwoods and soft wood alike should be split and left to season (dry out) for at least one year before being used in a fire. Dry, seasoned wood, however burns clean—and hot.
With no water to slow it down wood seasoned 4 or 5 years will burn very cleanly and very hot. Hardwoods of course will tend to yield a longer, slower burn while pine will pop and crack and blaze. Adjusting the content of your woodpile (for multiple years) is a good idea to get at the ambiance and function you want.
